Get Those Beaded Jewelry Ideas Done

Beaded Jewelry Ideas Inspiration

A good idea will emerge at the most unexpected place and can occur at the oddest hours in your life. And just like any beaded jewelry ideas, the inspiration should start from within, an idea that will sum up what’s in your heart and turn it into a masterpiece that everybody will value.

When you think of beaded jewelry designs, think of the changing seasons and the colors that come with it. Think of designs that will inspire people and ultimately get the desired sales you want.

Get inspiration from your most loved places or even from the people that you love. Express your love for them through a beaded jewelry design that will be at par with their beauty. Like the ocean perhaps, you can use different shades of blue beads and stones for that and create a wave of blue gems and beads bracelet to awe your customers.

Or put out different shades of sapphire stones or seed beads to create a replica of your favorite hang out in the depths of the forest. Anything that reveals your creativity is a welcome beaded jewelry idea.

Handmade Beaded Jewelry Ideas

Every bead jewelry artist has their own potential bead jewelry making abilities, and what better way to do it is to thoroughly use the hands to make a work of art. Handmade beaded jewelries are the best thing you could offer your customers.

Often artisans are dubbed to be free spirits with only their hearts and hands to depend on. It is unimaginable how you can transform a single bead into a combined piece beautiful jewelry. Such talent should not go by the side; it should be polished and nurtured. Handmade beaded jewelry ideas are a form of expressing yourself as an artist, so keep that creativity working and craft by your hands!

How To Apply Beaded Jewelry Ideas

Beaded jewelry ideas are just ideas if not applied. Like any applications, you should be consistent in everything, taking into considerations the elements that will be in harmony with design. You can integrate your own idea and come up with more stunning bead jewelry.

It should replicate the original design to a certain degree, and always make a statement, more like a signature appeal to your customers. It might be signature beads always present in your design, or a signature loop that only a careful eye can see. This will make your design a sought after product and customers will associate it to your craft.

Name Beaded Jewelry Ideas

To name a product is quite hard as naming a child; you have to take into consideration all the other aspects that characters each and individual design. A flower design can ordinarily be named “flower necklace”, but you can put a glamorous name to it and you can instead call it by its new name, “Swarovski crystal flower necklace”. It has a certain retention to it and it describes a little of your jewelry.

The name “flower necklace” has a certain ink to it, more like just a family name. In a wedding invitation or any occasion, a well written “First Name and Last Name” can have a certain glow to the reader. So naming beaded jewelry ideas relevantly will make all the difference to your creation.

Often, we disregard these things, thinking we know everything there is to it. But a little help from people around us will build your personality as an artisan. It does not make you less of a person or an artist to look into beaded jewelry ideas over the Internet, or magazines, or your friendly crafts lady at the store.

Like the cliché, no man is an island. We all need each other, for inspiration and guidance. Adding a little more zing to the original beaded jewelry idea will make your bead jewelry making more exciting and fun!

Make Jewelry using African Beads

Africa has been making jewelry crafted by hand for a very long time in keep with their traditions and they use African beads which come in a wide variety of colors and shapes as well as textures. You can now make your jewelry yourself using inspiration from the African styles and the raw materials like trade beads that the African jewelers themselves make use of. You can make simple African jewelry like necklaces or pendants or something as complicated as the pieces that are normally used by Africans for their rituals in healing and their spiritual ceremonies. All you require is the African beads or trade beads, a clasp, some jewelry cord or wire, crimping pliers and crimping beads. If you look at pictures or piece of African jewelry you are sure to draw inspiration from these and be able to create your own designs. Tribal jewelry from Africa includes the bone necklaces from Kenya, the coconut disc necklaces from Nigeria, crosses from Ethiopia and the Mali wedding beads. Settle on a particular style. If you would rather make a necklace with a lone pendant, then search for a bead that has an attractive color or pattern. If you intend putting together several African beads, put them against a neutral background like the black velvet that most jewelers use to find out how they combination looks. A pendant can also be put together with smaller trade beads. Get hold of some good African beads. There are quite a few sites on the Internet that deal with trade beads and other African beads and jewelry supplies and these companies buy them directly from families who make them in Africa.  Some of the pieces might be very old or of limited versions and be sold at a very high price while the other trade beads are more affordable. Measure out the required length of beading thread that you will require. The length should be ideally the length that you want your necklace of trade beads to be plus an extra five inches. If you would like to use bigger African beads then you might like to replace the beading thread with cotton cord or leather. If you choose to use wire to thread them, put a crimp bead on one end along with one part of the clasp. Pass the wire through the crimp bead, make sure you tighten it and then flatten the bead with the help of the crimping pliers. The extra wire should be trimmed off.   Start stringing the beads. If you are looking to have a pattern that is symmetrical, start with the center and keep adding African beads on either side. Add the other part of the clasp or a jump ring if you are using a hook clasp. Draw the wire through the clasp and cut off the extra. And then wear you beautiful necklace of trade beads and watch the heads turn.

For a wide variety of African beads visit us; you can choose from Mali Wedding beads, Red Tomato beads and several other trade beads.

Sexy Biker Jewelry

At one time or another, we all have to admit to ourselves that bikers – with their gritty leather jackets, imposing motorbikes and Gothic Biker Jewelry – represent everything our repressed hearts secretly desire. The appeal of running loose, going anywhere you wish is universal, transcending age, race and gender.

What makes good law-abiding, peace-loving boys and girls suddenly get the burning desire to jump on their Harley Davidsons and hit the road? The cyclists are all about the image of S & M, leather and nails. Images of tough guys or Harley girls come with the territory. Perhaps it is because a cyclist is the last release, the act of running wild and running free, able to showcase their own style and live in their own time. Who does not want to imagine themselves as kings and queens of the road, visions of complete independence that would otherwise terrify many of us?

Images adopted by most bikers reflects their attitude. When traveling together, a cyclist or biker rally week, to identify themselves and their group membership by the things they wear. Some of the larger groups fashion their insignia and wear logos on their clothes, or pins and other forms of jewelry to put his person and belongings.

In general, cyclists are known to each other by the “look” they project. Cycling & jewelry is a vital part of this “gaze.” Reject convention change for anyone, never compromise – these slogans are important to keep in mind when trying to achieve the perfect biker image.

Most of the time making jewelry gothic themes, like skulls, cross, snakes, roses with thorns … bloodied and many of us can not but admit they could be quite sexy. The Gothic look, combining themes of sex and death, comes with its own appeal. A school in the Gothic style even advocates the liberal use of jewelry such as rings and piercings, to promote the image of death metal. Most often, this jewelry is delicate and complemented with black clothing, like black leather, which is quite basic cycling wear.

But biker jewelry is distinguished from a strictly “Gothic” to be made of thicker materials. This gives a clear masculine. Often, a combination of leather and steel, the two essential elements of the “born to be wild” image, dating as far back as James Dean and the other motorcycle, riding heartthrobs of Hollywood. The current theme is “bigger is better” that comes with the biker creed, not caring what people think, if you know you look good.

Biker Jewelry comes in different flavors. Gold is very popular in some circles. White gold goes well with almost anything, especially dark colors. Wings and stars are other popular reasons, and other things that speak of a true American way of life.

Make Your Own Jewelry Part One

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  Mine was full of family time and I finally got a few hours to myself to do one of the things that I absolutely love to do…..read!  I love to get lost in a fictional storyline.  I especially love books that are in a series, although my husband has a different view.  He affectionately calls whatever series I am on “the homewrecker series” as I get so wrapped up in my book that the laundry, dishes, and cleaning fall to the wayside!  I try to control myself better now by saving most of my reading for the weekend when he is home to help out and at night before bed.  The other thing I love to do is scrapbook.  I love to create things on paper, using different color schemes and shapes to design something lasting.  I wonder what your hobbies might be.

I thought it would be fun to do a series on jewelry making!  I thought it would be helpful to know some basic tips on how to get started and the kinds of jewelry there are to make, what equipment you would need to get started and so forth.  When I think of jewelry making as a hobby from home or starting a small business, I think of beadwork.  As I have gotten into research, I have realized there are so many ways to make jewelry that I had never even thought about.

Today I thought we would take a quick look at the history of jewelry making.  Do you know where the word jewelry comes from?  I didn’t either, so I looked it up.  It is derived from the latin word “jocale” which means “plaything.”  During the early years, jewelry was used in more practical ways rather than for adornment as we mostly use it for now.  It was used to pin clothes together or for storage.  The first pieces of jewelry were made out of material such as shells, animal teeth and bones, carved stone and wood.

Jewelry has come a long way and it really was not until later in the 1800’s that jewelry makers started to make a name for themselves.   I am really looking forward to this series!  Tomorrow we are going to talk about basic tips on getting started as well as some supplies you would need to begin.

Trade Lou is about simple pricing, easy store navigation, secure shopping, and buyer privacy. It’s about low prices with quality designs, made by expert craftsmen and artisans who have partnered with us for years. We’re confident you’ll enjoy your experience with Trader Lou to your absolute satisfaction.
